bar exam studying got you down?
have no fear! tune in daily for your bar exam tip of the day! today we will look at the exam itself and discuss your initial focus and why this exam differs from any other test you will ever take. the anxiety can be compared to that of a 48 hour wait for your std test results, and thats why Francois Belafonte has you covered.
Belafontes' Bar Exam Advice vol. 1: study to beat the exam and not your meat!
Bar Review and preparation isn’t law school anymore where you just sit down in long hours of lectures and wait for your turn to recite provisions of law and cases. You no longer study to survive the horrifying graded recitations. The Bar Exams is not only about what you have remembered or what you can recite. It tests more than mere memory and understanding. It tests your ability to analyze legal problems and to apply relevant laws and jurisprudence. For instance, what laws are applicable for regular "baby mama drama"? You don't want to cite laws applicable towards estate tax when the apparent case at hand has to do with child support provisions! Know your stuff.
Bar Exam Preparation is not just about studying to know the law and jurisprudence. It is not only about filling up your mind with legal knowledge. It is more about preparing your machine to use and apply all these legal knowledge that you have acquired. Take advantage man... take advantage.

Kimbo Slice chokes out Ray Mercer in first round
New Jersey - Kimbo Slice, most known for his bare knuckles street fight videos posted all over the web, made his MMA debut last night against former WBO heavyweight champion Ray Mercer. Kimbo slipped a guillotine choke on Mercer to walk away with his first win as an MMA fighter.
Kimbo was the overall favorite to win and also the crowd favorite. The fight was over pretty quick, Kimbo going for a takedown in the early going and took Mercer down. Mercer made it back up when Kimbo began to land knees and began to engage Mercer with punches until coming off with a double leg and placing him in a guillotine choke to make him tap for the submission win at 1:12 of the first round.
Kimbo Slice, real name Kevin Ferguson, is a Miami, Florida-based underground fighter. He has appeared in several bare-knuckle fights which have spread primarily on the Internet. His work includes serving as a bodyguard for the pornographic VIP Graham Heffelfinger and MILF Hunter productions. His current bare-knuckle fighting record is 7-1.
Kimbo will be featured on The Iron Ring, a new television series airing on BET which features mixed martial arts prospects. He will be a part of the selection process for the participants.
The exhibition paid both fighters $50,000, Kimbo received an additional $25,000 for winning and $10,000 for making Mercer tap. At 46, it's a wrap for Mercer.
Stay tuned to more MMA fights by Kimbo. This dude should be interesting.

them fijians is fast yo!
but not as fast as a samoa! If you missed the footage from April 1st 2007 Championship Sevens game... search the youtube for highlights. Samoa vs. Fiji in the 2007 Hong Kong Sevens championship. Check it out here. Post is kind of late but the game just aired in America June 18, 2007.
Those of you unfamiliar with the game... usually a game of rugby is played with either 13 or 15 players (depending if your playing union or league), but sevens is played with...yup! you guessed it... seven players! Only the fastest and strongest can survive and in this recent contest for the 2007 Sevens championship, the country of Samoa proved to be too fast and too strong for them Fijian bruvaz.

Wizzle @ the Moofies: Ocean's 13
The mothership has landed and "the Wizzle" is back on point after taking a hiatus from his daily life of bumpin and grindin potato chips. This week Wizzle took some time out to catch a flick, Ocean's 13. So the Wizzle has a present for you moofie buffs, here it is:
Ocean's 13: The Moofie Review
The basics:
Theatrical Release Date: 06/08/2007
Rating: PG-13 for Adult Situations
Genre: Crime drama, Comedy-drama
Running Time: 122 minutes
Country: United States
Language: English
Studio: Warner Bros. Pictures
The Wizzles:
Acting: The acting was good but not great. It's hard not to compare Ocean's 13 to its predecessors but Ocean's Eleven was a lot better in terms of acting. Some of the characters could have been planned out better in terms of their role in the plot and sub plots. As usual, there were a couple surprises in the movie but they weren't played off too well. Super Dave Osborne made an appearance in the movie and his acting stank. Acting: B
Story: It was a pretty busy story to follow in the beginning. I liked the way it flowed into the middle and ending. Its all about revenge and getting the team together to make it work. The build up to it was nice but some parts were a little hard to imagine as being half true which became distracting. I think that there was a little too much going on here and there with some of the subplots. The real catcher in this part was that it was in Vegas. Story: B-
Direction: Confusing in the beginning but easy to follow after that. The ending could've have been a little more surprising and suspenseful. Its your typical Ocean's 11/12 movie. Direction: B+
Visuals: The visuals were pretty cool. They put up a hotel in Vegas where there wasn't any. It was cool. I think they could have made the casino look a little bigger, like a real one, and look a little more exciting. The casino looked like it was done in a studio at times but that's just me. Visuals: A-
Overall: 4 out of 5 Wizzles.
The Wizzle liked this one but only because Ocean's 11 and 12 were lovely. This movie was so hyped that Wizzle was a little disappointed and too critical. Besides, my popcorn tasted like doodoo.
